In March 2022, the Riverside Fire Department began creating a Strategic Plan to highlight their organization, daily operations, recent accomplishments, and future goals. They asked me to help compile the Strategic Plan, which included information and photos, into a comprehensive report. Before starting the design process, I met multiple times with Battalion Chief Brian Guzzetta.
Our discussions focused on understanding the structure of the information, matching photos with relevant content, and establishing a visual style appropriate for the Strategic Plan. Over the following weeks, I worked on designing the report and regularly shared my progress with my supervisors and Battalion Chief Guzzetta to ensure the design met their expectations. Upon completion, the client was thrilled with the 96-page Strategic Plan. Since delivering the final product, the client has distributed the document to the Riverside City Council, state wide fire agencies, and residents of Riverside.
